Lifestyle: Hungry in Greater Manchester?

Mancunians love to eat out. Let's take a look at some of our own favourite places

Have we missed your place of choice?

Rudy's

An obvious choice but its popular for a reason. Everyone loves pizza and their pizza is incredible. Take a look at this video from  Manchester's Finest which explores Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza in more detail.

One Google review says: "This place is fantastic. Incredibly tasty pizza. Soft dough, topped with quality ingredients."

Fish Hut

Are you looking for a spot of lunch? The Fish Hit does a great variety of classic chippy meals and also sells a cracking pizza. Is Fish Hut competition for Rudy's?

Rob gave this Google review: "Excellent fish and chips in Manchester city centre. You can take out and eat-in with seating upstairs. The food was very good. The chips were crisp and dry with a lovely thick piece of fish with a thin crisp batter. I can't wait to go back."

Wok to Work

This lovely place is on Deansgate and has become increasingly popular over the last few years for those looking for a decent lunch. Their website sites: "Make your own Asian recipe, and we cook it your way with the freshest ingredients."

One Google review said: "Absolutely loved it in here. The staff were friendly and cooked our food well. I needed this amazing meal after a long day, and it was just right.

This and That

Three curries and rice for a fiver? An absolute bargain and it has maintained its popularity over the years.

Scott gave this lovely Google review: "I'm from Malaysia and there are no shortages of good curry around town, but this place ranks as one of my top three in the world for good honest cheapest and delicious curry with rice."

Habeesha

This restaurant offers something very different. For something unique and tasty, this is definitely worth a visit. One Twitter user said: "Just enjoyed another fabulous meal at #Habeesha Ethiopian restaurant in Manchester. Delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend."

Amy told us: "This place is truly authentic, with a great deal of attention paid to the quality, taste and presentation of everything that they serve."

Are you a football fan looking for a 'scran'?

The Footy Scran Twitter has become hugely popular across the United Kingdom. The premise of this is simple, they explore some of the delightful treats on offer at different football grounds across the world. The food at Non-League side Avro FC has become highly rated. Have you visited the Arndale Food Market?

The Arndale Food Market contains some belting food options to suit all tastes and appetites. Our favourite is Wing's, but people also love Pancho's Burritos and Viet Shack. It has become hugely popular for a snack or full meal when lunchtime hits the offices of Manchester.
